Boring-Bar.

Patent for improvement in boring-bars, particularly in the ability to hold the tool securely "in place during operation and which will prevent the cutting tool from becoming loose in its socket or holder" (lines 12-15). Additional operations include the boring bar turning off or cutting on the outside in instances "where the lathe will not swing over the carriage" (line 19) and the cutting on both "the inside or outside of the work equally as well" (lines 16-18).
