Patent for a foot trap for catching animals known for their furs that will prevent the animal from gnawing the trap or his foot off.

Patent for a new and improved car-axle box. This design consists "[i]n an axle-box, the combination, with the box having the wedge-shaped projections and slots, of the cover having pins and wedge-shaped recesses formed between said pins and the top of the lid, whereby the gravity of the cover will wedge it to the box when the pins are without a bearing" (lines 52-58).

Patent for ironing table with capability of adjustable height and folding features, including illustrations.

Patent for a water elevator in which compressed air may be used to raise water from a well. Illustrations included.

Patent for a press that reduces the bulk of cotton, "allowing it to be baled into convenient form for transportation. It consists in a novel mode of attaching the side of the press-box, so that they can be speedily thrown down from the cotton after compression to allow its convenient manipulation. It also consists in a new mode of connecting the follower with its superposed lever, so that it can be readily turned up out of the way when the cotton is being filled into the press-box. It also consists in a peculiar mode of combining lever and the two followers to clamp and press the cotton in between them as if in a vise." (Lines 13-26) Illustration is included.

Patent for "a motor of cheap and simple construction, which is adapted for driving various classes of light machinery, and more especially for use in connection with fans, such as are commonly used for creating currents of air in bar-rooms, dining-rooms, and the like" (lines 16-22).

Patent for a new and improved hame-tug. This design consists in "the combination, with the bar provided at one end with a buckle, of the shield secured to the inner side of the bar and provided with an outward-extending guard, which extends through the loop of the buckle and is provided with a slot for the reception of the tongue of the buckle" (lines 64-70).

Patent for hay-presses relating to the arraignment and and construction of the means for operating the plunger of the press whereby reciprocation of the plunger may be secured by the revolution of an arm or lever whereby a single or double reciprocation of the plunger during a single revolution of the arm or lever may be secured as desired.

Patent for a new and improved drying rack. This design consists, "with a stove or steam-pipe, of the band having the sockets, lips, and springs, said lips adapted to be secured by proper bolt, bent arms . . . having the hooks [and] the eyes, said arms adapted to fit around the said band and be gathered in a bundle, the hooks interlocking with the eyes of the arms" (lines 65-73).
