This design consists "of wood, properly curved to conform to the configuration of a horse-collar, and having their front and rear sides shaped alike, so that they may be applied interchangeably to the right or left sides to the collar. To accomplish such result [the design] provide[s] each hame with a swiveling trace attachment" (lines 7-14).

Patent for a new and improved mosquito bar and carriage umbrella. This design consists in "[t]he combination, with a tube adapted to be applied to the head-board of a bed, and having a lateral slot and roller therein, of a set-screw passing into the said tube, a curved tube adjustably supported in the straight tube, a parasol on the end of the curved tube, and a cord passing through the tubes to operate the parasol" (lines 58-65).

Patent for a new and improved mosquito-bar frame. This design "consist[s], essentially, of the upright bars having their upper ends reduced . . . and provided with staples, the brackets, having loops at opposite ends and a pintle on its lower branch to enter the staples in the posts, the lateral rods carrying the loop brackets at opposite ends, and sockets . . . to receive the upper ends of the posts, the inner cross-bar arranged in the inner brackets of the lateral rods, the outer cross-bar arranged in the outer brackets of said rods, and the longitudinally-adjustable slide-bar carrying guide-eyes" lines 82-95).

Invention for a portable structure to be used as a dressing-cabinet that is easy to set up and take down, light enough to move on rollers, conveniently accessible, and containing mirrors and folding shelves.

Patent for a simple and durable dumping-wagon that "consists principally of a body made in two pivoted parts and a lever fulcrumed on the wagon-frame and adapted to impart a swinging motion to the said parts to the dump of the body" (lines 12-16).
