This design "relates to that type of hen-nest wherein a tilting platform is employed to protect the setting hen from intrusion while permitting her to freely pass to and from the nest. The objects of [the] invention are to improve the prior construction and to provide novel means whereby the hen setting or hatching chamber is separated from the passage containing the tilting platform by a division-wall having a rear doorway, in such manner that the eggs are isolated and in a measure hid and protected while the hen is seeking food" (lines 8-20).

Patent for clothes pin with illustration attached. This pin was created to allow ease shifting of clothes hanging from the clothe line. Additionally the clothes pin does not pinch the clothes it holds in place.
