Patent for a new and improved table. This design "can be adjusted vertically by turning the screw-spindle, or it can be drawn upward, and will be held in position by the spring-catch, which catches on the shoulders. If the table is to be used at a sick-bed, it can be projected laterally by drawing the table-top in the direction in which it is to project, the track-plate sliding in the grooved plate. The table-top can be locked in the desired position by means of the binding screw" (lines 90-100).

Ruffling Attachment for Sewing Machines.
Patent for a new and improved ruffling attachment for sewing machines. This design consists in "[t]he combination, with the flat main plate having the loop, of the ruffling-plate having its side at one end turned over parallel with its main portion, and provided with a spring tongue or plate that is inserted in the loop" (lines 59-63).

This design "relates to screws for setting vehicle fellies or rims on the tenons of the spokes; and its object is to provide a device possessing superior advantages in point of simplicity, ease of adjustment, and general efficiency, whereby one [person] can easily and conveniently set the rim" (lines 9-15).
