Patent for an automatic repeating railroad-signal designed to be used with semaphore and other train-signaling apparatus. It eliminates mistakes made in notifying the central office and automatically reports "any change in the position or color of the signal to a central office over the ordinary telegraph-wire" (lines 14-16). Patent for a simple and inexpensive car-coupling that improves on the pin-and-link car-couplings and "will be capable of coupling automatically and which may be readily uncoupled without going between cars" (lines 13-15). After the car has been separated, this coupling automatically puts its parts in position to be re-coupled. It also enables a "flying kick" to be transmitted to the car.

Patent for a new and improved beer tap. This design calls for the air pipe to go within the beer tapping pipe and for a pump to supply the air pipe with air. This eliminates the need of a rubber nipple to connect the air pipe, easily cleans the pipe coil, and allows for the tapping of the keg from without the icebox.

Patent for a mixing machine designed for churns, but can also be used in ice cream freezers. It works by producing a partial vacuum, forcing the liquid to go from the bottom to the top of the vessel. Blades force the liquid to go against "the centrifugal action" (line 21) and towards the center of the vessel.
