Patent for "a composition pulp plaster designed as a substitute for ordinary lime-plaster and equivalent materials and particularly adapted for use in warm moist climates, where the ordinary lime-plaster lacks durability and is rendered non-adherent. A further objective of the invention is to provide a cheap substitute for plaster which will be not only waterproof, but also fireproof and gas-proof or practically impervious to air" (lines 9-18). Patent for improvements in propellers for boats by “having a pair of hinged propeller-blades adapted to swing toward and away from each other, combined with fixed prongs; which are engaged with the propeller blades and hold them from displacement.” (Lines 60-65) Illustration is included.

Patent for "a device by which the mixing of various ingredients in certain desired proportions may be easily and accurately accomplished" (lines 8-11). It is meant for industrial measuring.

Patent for an improved pneumatic cotton-picker that is meant "to produce a simple machine having a cotton receiving box or vacuum box and arranged to use both a blast and suction pipe, these pipes being oppositely arranged and the suction pipe being made to deliver into the cotton box" (lines 10-17). The cotton is sucked from the plants and delivers it into a cotton box. A guide lines the machine up with the row of cotton.

Patent for "a simple and compact electrical or galvanic device, adapted, when placed in the womb of a patient, to develop a mild electric action and thereby promote the flow of the menses and render the same regular and painless" (lines 16-19).

Patent for "improvements on sanitary closets for destroying the human excrement-s on the premises with little labor and expense" (lines 8-11).
