This is a patent for "new and useful improvements in a combined cultivator and chopper" (lines 5-7). The new improvements include a combination chopper and cultivator that will maneuver on both sides of a row of cotton crop.

Patent for "a new and improved rotary engine which is simple and durable in construction, very effective in operation, and arranged to utilize the motive agent to the fullest advantage, and to permit of convenient and quick reversing whenever desired" (lines 9-15).

Patent for improvements in a combined sash balances and fasteners, using two sashes, a rotatable shaft, a ratchet and a friction-wheel; all these parts work together “to simplify the means whereby one sash is made to balance the other and by which either sash may be adjusted without disturbing the other.” (Lines 16-19) Illustration is included.

Patent for improved horseshoeing rasp, both portable and mechanical, which removes extra hoof after shoe is applied to foot. Invention also provides smoother and trimmer hoof with shoe.
