Patent for "an attachment for stove-dampers whereby said dampers will be automatically moved, in order that the fire may be maintained at a predetermined heat" (lines 9-13).

Patent for a new and improved coupling for railroad cars. This design "consists in a lever pivoted in the front of the top of the draw-head and provided at its outer end with an aperture, through which the coupling-pin is passed into the aperture in the draw-head, below which lever another lever is pivoted, hanging vertically across the front-opening of the draw-head, and provided at the upper part of its inner edge with a projection, so that when the coupling-link pushes the lower lever inward the upper lever and the pin are raised, and drop as soon as the link has passed into the draw-head" (lines 10-21).

Patent for an invention that is "an improved crude-oil burner" (lines 8-9). Illustrations are included.

Patent for a cultivator that can be used a riding or walking cultivator and has a better holder for the standards.

Patent for "fishing devices for use in oil wells or in like situations for recovering parts of the drilling appliances which may have become detached or lost in the well" (lines 9-13).

Patent for a focusing device for cameras. "In photographic cameras, the objective lens forms a reduced image which is thrown upon a plate of ground glass through which ground glass the image is observed" (lines 9-13). Illustration included.

Patent for a fuse "holder which carries a number of fuses, capable of being brought into proper position to provide a fresh fuse in the event of the burning or blowing out of one of the fuses" (lines 9-13). The carrier inside the holder is removable (line 15); as carried in this holder, the fuses are "held under strong tension," with a mechanism allowing easy retrieval of a "fresh fuse" if necessary (line 18).

Patent for "improvement in machines for destroying bugs and worms that infest cotton and other plants" (lines 8-10), including instructions and illustrations.

Patent for a liquid fuel burner, which will burn semi-refined petroleum efficiently.

Patent for improvements in map hangers. The purpose is to provide a map exhibiting hanger to use in support for a plurality of maps, particularly maps that have information on the back.

Patent for a nut lock that keeps bolts attached extra tightly.

Patent for a new and improved nut lock. This design has, "[i]n combination with a bolt having a cylindrical stem and a head beveled on its inner face, a nut tapped to receive the threaded end of the bolt and prevented from turning" (lines 73-77).

Patent for a new and improved oil can. This design utilizes a handle with a hollow tube leading into the oil chamber, so when the removable cap is unscrewed from the handle, air flows into the chamber, which allows the oil to flow. This eliminates the need for a spring-bottom as with other oil cans, for the flow of oil can be stopped by sealing the tube.

Patent for a new form of valve for mechanical piano operated by pneumatic mechanisms in which the value is self-centering and does away with the guide pin usually employed, and an amplification of the wippen so that the striker rod is placed at the front of the pneumatic mechanism where it is accessible. The change in leverage permits the use of a smaller pneumatic.
