Patent for a new and improved nut lock. This design has, "[i]n combination with a bolt having a cylindrical stem and a head beveled on its inner face, a nut tapped to receive the threaded end of the bolt and prevented from turning" (lines 73-77).

Patent for "an attachment for stove-dampers whereby said dampers will be automatically moved, in order that the fire may be maintained at a predetermined heat" (lines 9-13).

Patent for invention of certain new and useful Improvements in Gates. Relates to the improvements in automatic gates, Including annexed drawing which fully illustrate the invetion (5-10).

Patent for a fuse "holder which carries a number of fuses, capable of being brought into proper position to provide a fresh fuse in the event of the burning or blowing out of one of the fuses" (lines 9-13). The carrier inside the holder is removable (line 15); as carried in this holder, the fuses are "held under strong tension," with a mechanism allowing easy retrieval of a "fresh fuse" if necessary (line 18).

Patent for useful improvements on safety valve mechanism for Pneumatic Tires. This invention constructs a mechanism to control air pressure within the tire in order to prevent bursting from over charging, heating, sudden compression is avoided.

Patent for a focusing device for cameras. "In photographic cameras, the objective lens forms a reduced image which is thrown upon a plate of ground glass through which ground glass the image is observed" (lines 9-13). Illustration included.

This design "consists in a lever pivoted in the front of the top of the draw-head and provided at its outer end with an aperture, through which the coupling-pin is passed into the aperture in the draw-head, below which lever another lever is pivoted, hanging vertically across the front-opening of the draw-head, and provided at the upper part of its inner edge with a projection, so that when the coupling-link pushes the lower lever inward the upper lever and the pin are raised, and drop as soon as the link has passed into the draw-head" (lines 10-21).

Patent for a new form of valve for mechanical piano operated by pneumatic mechanisms in which the value is self-centering and does away with the guide pin usually employed, and an amplification of the wippen so that the striker rod is placed at the front of the pneumatic mechanism where it is accessible. The change in leverage permits the use of a smaller pneumatic.
