Patent for "a machine of this character which will effectively do its work,which will be of great capacity, easy to manipulate, and positive in its desired operation" (lines 11-14).

Patent for new and useful improvements to printing or stamping machines.

Patent for a new and improved corn-sheller and washboard. This design "consist[s] of the frame, the backing, the transverse rods secured to said backing upon one side thereof, the vertical strip upon the opposite side of said strip, and the transverse rods secured to the outer edge of said strip, the pivoted legs, and the bars" (lines 96-102). Said bars are pivoted to "side bars of the frame and at the other provided with elongated slots engaging pins on the legs" (lines 1-3).

Patent for "a simple and convenient chair which may be folded to render it portable, so that it may be carried from place to place by the dentist when his practice is away from his office" (lines 9-13).

Patent for "a feeding device for the teeth which is independent of the filing devices, and which shall be so constructed that it will properly feed the teeth of saws of varying diameters, so as to give a regular and uniform size to each tooth without reference to the number of teeth in the saw" (lines 18-24).

Patent for a new and improved gas-retort. This design "is to provide a new and improved retort for generating gas for illuminating or other purposes from stone coal, and being specially adapted to be used on cooking-stoves. The invention consists of a fire-pot fitting onto the eye of a stove, of a spherical retort held to turn on the said fire-pot and made of two parts, and of a gas outlet formed in one of the trunnions of the retort" (lines 7-16).

Patent for a new and improved journal-box. This design consists "[i]n a self-cooling journal-box, the combination of the walls having top and bottom supporting the lubricating packing, and the housing forming water-chamber below and at the sides of the chamber formed by the walls and bottom, and [another] water-chamber above the top" (lines 66-72).
