Patent for "a simple and inexpensive advertising device adapted to be placed on street corners and other public places and capable of exciting the curiosity and attracting attention, and thereby directing the attention of persons to the advertisement" (lines 11-16).

Patent for "a combined condenser and dripper for coffee or tea pots, the main object of the invention being the provision of a combined condenser and dripper to be attached to and used in connection with an ordinary coffee or tea pot; second, to construct a condenser readily connected to or disconnected from the lid of coffee or tea pot, and to have the reservoir or body of the condenser a proper distance above the pot to prevent its receiving external heat from the pot; and thereby, to produce such condenser and dripper at a minimum cost; and perfect in its operation" (lines 25-38).

Patent for an inexpensive and simple back-band buckle that doubles as a trace-carrier and locks the trace into place. It secures to the carriage and locks the trace into place with a snap-hook.

Patent for a simple and inexpensive convertible corn sheller and grater that, when shelling, can fill a receptacle without spilling or clogging. The sheller also separates dust from the corn. The grater is easily removable for cleaning.

Patent for a combination drafting-instrument that is "carried about the person and serve as a combined pencil-holder and drafting tool and when used in the latter capacity to serve the functions of a divider, a square, a compass, and a caliper for either inside or outside gaging" (lines 10-15).

Patent for a simple cattle-guard that provides an unstable footing for the cattle without injuring them, and thus preventing the cattle from going onto train tracks. The cattle do not get injured when stepping on this device.

Patent for a bicycle that is safer than other bicycles. It has compensating gearing so that "the variations in leverage in the various positions assumed by the pedal crank are equalized" (lines 12-13).

Patent for an electric appliance for stallions meant to stop the horse from masturbating. It is a box underneath the horse that is secured around the horse. When the horse gets an erection, the penis will touch the lower plate of the box and cause the circuit to close and shocks the animal.

Patent for an improved folding ironing-table that has "its top pivoted to the longer of two pairs of legs, the shorter pair designed to hold a cross bar which is adapted to support the table top about midway its length, when the table is opened and set up for use" (lines 18-22).

Patent for a wheel-plow that is meant for southern states. All the parts of this plow are adjustable in order to adapt to different sizes of bedding.

Patent for an improved wagon tongue spring that weighs less and wears less on the horse's neck than other tongue-supports.

Patent for simple and effective metal-cutting shears that cuts hot or cold metals. The shears are mounted on a frame, and a hand-operated lever forces the upper shear down.

Patent for a simple and durable spark arrester for locomotives that has a minimum number of parts and "which will remove arrested sparks to the fire box of the locomotive and will prevent live sparks being thrown out by the locomotive and thereby endanger property adjoining the railroad tracks" (lines 19-23).

Patent for an improved stovepipe or flue cleaner. It is a four-bladed fan that sits in an insert in the flue. The fan is operated by pulling on a rope which is situated between two pulleys. The cleaner sits right before the hot air goes into the chimney.

Patent for an ice-cream freezer that has "a novel construction and relative arrangement of the refrigerating box and the cream cups as will be described whereby to secure a more compact and convenient arrangement of cups and also to effect a rapid and thorough freezing of the cream as desired" (lines 9-14).

Patent for "an improvement in those lamp-wick regulators which consists of a threaded rod operated by a nut and connected to the wick, whereby the wick may be raised or lowered by operating the nut; and the invention lies in an improved connection between the wick and rod, by which the wick can be raised with more uniformity and ease." Patent for a mosquito-net frame that can support a tester, but does not require one to operate. The net can be draped over a bed and moved out of the way again without interfering with the tester.

Patent for a quilting-machine that is meant to "improve the construction of quilting attachments for sewing machines, and to provide a simple and inexpensive one, which will be capable of lateral vibrations, longitudinal movement, and a rotary motion, in order that any form of design may be worked" (lines 12-17).

Patent for a quilting-frame that holds "the quilt in position to be sewed with an ordinary sewing machine" (lines 13-14). The frame has rollers on it.

Patent for a method of disposing of human feces "by water and the destruction of disease producing germs in the same in centers of population which are situated near running streams or large bodies of water" (lines 12-15).
