Patent for an improvement "in the application of power to car brakes, whereby the slack is quickly and automatically absorbed, and a powerful leverage is secured, and a perfect equalization of the leverage at each end of the car is obtained, and the convenient and safe adjustment of the brakes in regard to the wheels is effected, and any particular alignment of the brake cylinder in regard to the car body is avoided as the cylinder in regard to the car body is avoided as the cylinder may be placed across the car body or at any angle desired to secure convenience of application" (lines 8-20).

Patent for a new and improved burglar alarm. This design "consists in a wire attached to the anchor or escapement-lever of a clock-work for ringing or sounding an alarm bell, which wire has a hook at its outer end, which is passed into a loop, ring, or hook at the end of a wire connected with the key-bolt or knob-bolt of a lock, or with a wire leading to places a considerable difference from the alarm" (lines 11-18).

Patent for a new churn, an improvement on the device shown in prior Patent Number 944,129 granted December 21, 1909.

Patent for an ice-cream freezer that has "a novel construction and relative arrangement of the refrigerating box and the cream cups as will be described whereby to secure a more compact and convenient arrangement of cups and also to effect a rapid and thorough freezing of the cream as desired" (lines 9-14).
