A method of fabricating an electrode for use in a metal chloride battery and an electrode are provided. The electrode has relatively larger and more uniform pores than those found in typical electrodes. The fabrication method includes the steps of mixing sodium chloride particles selected from a predetermined size range with metal particles selected from a predetermined size range, and then rigidifying the mixture. The electrode exhibits lower resistivity values of approximately 0.5 {Omega}cm{sup 2} than those resistivity values of approximately 1.0--1.5 {Omega}cm{sup 2} exhibited by currently available electrodes.

This drum or cylinder has at each end a peripheral beveled flange, and centrally around the drum a series of holes, and an adjustable strap or band, also provided with holes, so that when this strap is secured around the drum and properly adjusted the seed or grain within the drum will pass through the holes as the drum rotates" (lines 17-28).

Patent for an improved box-fastener for cases and boxes that hold bottled liquids. The invention allows for the cover to be easily removed, and hangs on the side of the box when not being used. The cover can be used on an ordinary box without altering the box.

In a process for the co-processing of waste rubber and carbonaceous material to form a useful liquid product, the rubber and the carbonaceous material are combined and heated to the depolymerization temperature of the rubber in the presence of a source of hydrogen. The deploymerized rubber acts as a liquefying solvent for the carbonaceous material while a beneficial catalytic effect is obtained from the carbon black released on deploymerization the reinforced rubber. The reaction is carried out at liquefaction conditions of 380--600{degrees}C and 70--280 atmospheres hydrogen pressure. The resulting liquid is separated from residual solids and further processed such as by distillation or solvent extraction to provide a carbonaceous liquid useful for fuels and other purposes.

The machine "compels a complete cycle of operation for each coin received and cannot be rendered inoperative through the deposit of a plurality of coins in the chute or while the operation of the machine is in progress." (lines 14-17).

Patent for a wire-coiling machine that improves on a previous patent (No. 296,806), that was granted to Wildermuth. The improvement allows for either left- or right-handed use, by making the crank movable to either side and by "providing the upper end of the post at opposite sides with stationary cutter blades and a single movable cutter adapted to be shifted for operation with either one of the said fixed cutters" (lines 28-32).

Patent for a wire-stretcher meant for making barbed wire fences that is more efficient than other wire-stretchers. It has a bent plate, a split hook swiveled to the plate, a rotatable rod that goes through the plate, stretching wire that is secured to the rod, and the split hook is attached to the wire.

Patent for a new device that "embodies a trailer connected in a novel manner to a truck of the ordinary form, so that the trailer wheels will track the rear truck wheels” (lines 9-12), including an illustration.

Patent for a detonator cap that acts as a "protecting device...to seal the inner end of the cap into which the adjacent end of the fuse is projected in use." (lines 13-16)

Patent for an improved transmission mechanism for changing speed of tractors and other machines, with illustrations. The improvement is in the arrangement and assembly of the component parts to improve efficiency and to provide several different forward speeds as well as a reverse speed.
