Patent for a "combined rake and portable baling-press, the objects in view being to provide a machine of the above class of comparatively cheap and simple construction and adapted to rake, elevate, deliver, pack, and bale hay and to apply the binding wires to the bales as formed in one continuous operation" (lines 8-15).

Patent for a new and improved bedstead fastening. This design "consist[s] in the locking-pin, the sections which are . . . provided with the laterally projecting alternating studs . . . having aligned vertical perforations to receive the said locking-pin, and their faces provided with the outer beveled flanges at the base of the studs, extending the entire length of the sections, so that when the sections are connected together they will meet each other in angular form, whereby the strain on the locking pin and the lateral studs is equalized" (lines 59-70).

Patent for a new, efficient machine, with a double purpose: "to clean hand-picked cotton and better prepare it for the ginning operation" (lines 11-13) and to extract cotton "from unripe and closed bolls" (lines 14-15).

Patent for "a medical compound or liniment for the alleviation and cure of wounds, especially those occasioned by barb-wire fences, burns, bruises, sprains, rheumatism, frost-bites, and hemorrhoids on man or beast" (lines 11-15).

Patent for improved construction of reed boards that prevents dust from getting inside of the reeds.

Patent for trolley wheels, where "the transmission of the current through the wheel to the harp is maintained at the maximum and the necessary wear of the relatively movable parts reduced to a minimum" (lines 11-15).

Patent for a journal or wheel axle box that allows the wheel to rotate freely and reduces friction stopping the boxes from becoming hot.

Patent for a press-box for horizontal oil-presses that produces "a cake of even thickness and density, and without strain on any part of the box" (lines 11-13) that has "a box fitted with a strainer that will be more lasting, which can be cleaned without removing it form the box, or the box from the press, and to which the cake will not adhere; [and] to provide a box fitted with effective and economical means of raising the cake out of the box after it is pressed" (lines 13-20). This box is made out of metal.

Patent for a passenger recorder. This invention is designed to keep track of the flow of passengers entering on and off passenger vehicles. Illustration included.

Patent for a new and improved hand press for food. This design "consists in the construction and novel arrangement of a lower perforated bowl or receptacle having a rigid handle extending at right angles . . . and an upper perforated presser-head conforming in shape to the bowl, and having a sliding attachment to the handle of the bowl, a lever-handle pivoted to the main handle . . . and a spring catch to hold the lever up to the main handle when the presser-head is drawn up" (lines 21-32).

Patent for a refrigerating package for shipping oysters, which uses ice and ice water kept at a constant level to keep the oysters cool and blocks contaminants.

Patent for a sanding apparatus for locomotives, which dispenses sand on the tracks for a better grip. This device prevents the system from being clogged with wet sand and can be easily turned on and off.

Patent for a roller press for the extraction of oil from cotton and other seeds.
