Patent for improving arc lamp attachments. The attachment allows an arc lamp to be able to use an incandescent lamp in place of the electrodes in an arc lamp. The attachment increases the efficiency and durability of the arc lamp.

Patent for an animal trap that allows an animal, most suitably animals of the rodent species, to enter a rectangular box from any of its four sides through a gate formed of downwardly inclined wires pivoted above each of said openings inside of the box. When an animal enters the trap, they are unable to leave because of the downwardly bent ends of transverse bars secured to the said inclined wires.

It "compris[es] the latch-bar having therein a longitudinal slot, the arm connected to the intermediate portion of said bar by a bolt or pin passing adjustably through said slot, said arm being curved forwardly at its upper portion, and a transverse handle-bar rigidly secured to the upper end of said arm" (lines 84-91).
