In the letter to her Aunt and Uncle she mentions the weather and what her other Aunts and Uncles have been doing. In Dinkie's letter to Alice she says how happy she is to hear they are doing well. She mentions that their health is also doing well. She had many visitors. She went to town the other day and got some fabric, a dress other things. She mentions the weather and says she hasn't seen Mat R. Miss Nicie is getting married. She asks Linnet to take care of Alice. She is also going to send Alice some money.

She tells Linnet why she is writing and who else she has already written. She also mentions how she is staying in fashion and how everyone is doing. Her father planted corn and she did not have to help this time. She talks about chickens and ducks. She talks about school and wants them to come visit. She rode Mollie and asks if Melissa made it yet. Mr. Bill Bomer visited. She asks about school.

Matilda received news of Tobe and Minnie. Abe and Bettie had left to see them. Florence's health has improved and so has her baby's. Tobe is going to work on the railroad. Dinkie had some people over and made dinner for them. She talks about thrashing wheat, and Willie killing Birdie's gosling. She wants to go see Florence and Minnie. She wishes they were coming to visit in the summer.

Dinkie mentions that they are all well and Florence, Mary and Minnie spent the night there. Tobe it taking Florence to her mothers. Willie is working in town early in the morning. She mentions the weather and the vegetables in her garden. Birdie talks about school, Minnie Dodd's tooth, and Tobe and Florence possibly going back to Indian territory. Mary is staying with them and doesn't want to go to Indian territory. Dinkie mentions that Sallie and Mattie visited,and Charlie and Fannie are going to rent Mr. Campbell's place. She talks about milking, making butter, and selling eggs. She received some apples and canned some, and made some jelly. She tells Linnet all the fun Bird, Mary and Minnie are having. If Linnet was there then all of the grandchildren would be together.

Jack and Lee have had some problems with getting the wheat. They had to hire help. She mentions they have been having bad weather. Jack's father died and so he will have to go back because of the will. She wonders where his mother will go and also Mrs. Lucas. She mentions she now has eye glasses. She would like to have them visit her, and even tried to go visit them for the fall, but it fell through. She talks about the schooling of her children and how she might have to send them to boarding school. She would like the Moores to write back a long letter.

In this letter, Moore writes about an article written in the Dallas Weekly News on April 16 by D. B. Kiefer. The article details a "norther" that struck Texas in April of 1857. He was writing the Moore family while they were visiting family in Gallatin, Tennessee. Henry writesthat he has heard that there are more buggies than hogs in Texas. He discusses the financial crisis of 1893. He also talks about farming, harvesting cotton, and canning peaches. He is interested and would like to see a six inch telescope that the "College at Whitewright" (Grayson College) is said to have. He gives details on a picnic, trips he took, the weather, and his views on politics.

It resulted with the wife taking her life. He writes about the financial crisis and his support for silver. He is an artesian having a well drilled. One of Linnet's lambs died due to a snake bite. Henry sent this letter to Gallatin, Tennessee where the Charles Moore family were visiting relatives.

She found some time to write them, but can't find their last letter. She mentions that some people are headed out. Mr. Franklin had a hard time getting home. Mr. Lowry has been unwell he thinks with a fever. Her Uncle H got a fever and was unwell, but has recovered. She mentions Solomon's family and their health. Solomon will be going back to help pick cotton. She received a letter from Clarence and Solomon received one from George. Buck is wearing a necklace with a heart on it. Neal came back that morning. Solomon ended up leaving to go find work. She read their letter to Uncle H. She mentions that they need rain. She talks about the state of their peach orchard. Uncle H and Neal are going to Melissa. Neal helped Lila with her milking and feeding. She mentions again the need for rain and she was happy that the Moores were having a good time.

He met a funeral train of African Americans. Someone was searching for work in Fort Worth, but failed. He hasn't received any news from Clarence. Dr. Rucker wants a long letter from them about Tennessee. He wants to be released from the Post Office because a successor has not been appointed for C. M. R.

Priest is very sick and weak. They have had to watch him because he gets up at night. He then mentions the weather and the need for rain. Solomon returned and is looking at land to purchase. Solomon received a letter from Clarence, but it did not mention if he had a fever. Neal did not go to church, but instead went fishing. Brother Carr came again and gave him shorthand and theology. He is getting mixed messages on the shorthand. He then talks about theology. Neal is going to Melissa. He talks about working on a grain drill. He mentions the weather again and the harvest flies. He talks about the peaches he has and inquires about their peach orchard. His California visitors have not made it to him yet and he wonders what is keeping them. He is expecting Lila, her baby, Aunt T and John or Neal to go with him to town. He talks about the crops and the most current condition of Priest.

Anna Boyd writes that Will's twins are in school and the new baby always wants to be outside. The school district is putting a suspension foot bridge for the children to cross on. He hoped they enjoyed themselves and wanted to go with them to visit family. John has only one son to help him farm and Will has two, but they are still too young. H. S. Moore writes that John will finish gathering corn, and he lifted a sheep out of mud. He mentions the clouds and that Anna Boyd's letter is included in the envelope. He also says that Priest has improved a little.

She was glad to hear from them because she was afraid that they had gone home and forgotten about her. She mentions that Mrs. Joyner would like to go back to Texas with them and is an old schoolmate of Mrs. Moore. Will is enjoying good health with Alfred May cooking for him. He visited Alice and saw Birdie and Frank. He is building a cabin for Mr. Holder and he lost some lambs this past winter. He is thinking of selling Birdie's sow and piglets. If he can get enough work done over the summer, he wants to go visit in the fall. Moore's subscription went out and Will received the news that the money made it there okay. He talks about the troupe he is in and how they can see the play he is part of. He sends some of the lines of the play he stars in to Linnet.

Henry is doing better. Mariah is sending a letter with more details. John sold two loads of corn. He mentions the dreary weather they have had and the state of the crops. They wells have been drying up, some people are digging farther for water. Her mother visited Mrs. Priest. Rucker writes about Henry's health and weather also. He mentions Alice's marriage.
