Also included second letter to same recipient dated 1846/10/16 asking them to use the most recent prices for his bill since some items have decreased. Page 237 of letter book.

Letter from [Henri] Castro to [Ferdinand] Louis [Huth] stating that the letter is entrusted to Rev. Pfanner and many immigrants are expected shortly. He lists some provisions he is sending, including salt, nails, seeds, etc. Signed H. Castro on February 6, 1845 in Galveston.

Letter from G[uillau]me D'Hanis to [Ferdinand] L[oui]s Huth discussing emigrants bound for the United States on eight separate ships. He also informs him of Castro's departure and implores him to construct for Castro a house. Signed Gme. D'Hanis on May 6, 1846 in Antwerp.

Letter from H[enri] Castro to [Ferdinand] Louis [Huth]. He states he has been in Galveston for three days and has come to the realization that their letters are being intercepted. He also gives instructions regarding the construction of his house and other things that must be done. Signed H. Castro on July 6, 1846 in Galveston.

Letter from August [Huth] to [Ferdinand] Louis [Huth] regarding several boxes being shipped to Louis and the party of emigrants leaving the following day.

Letter from sister Marie to [Ferdinand] Louis [Huth] letting him know how pleased they are to get his letters and wish that he could be there. She also mentions that Germany is trying to unite Protestant and Catholic churches. Signed Marie on December 9, 1845. With letter from Caroline Huth to [Ferdinand] Louis [Huth] asking him about his home and whether he has received the household linens and garden seeds. She also asks him to send potato sprouts. Signed Caroline Huth on March 6 possibly in 1845 in Neufreystaedt.
