She expresses her appreciation for the gift, that it was so very gracious and that she used it for several things and is sending souveniers. Crane expresses her approval as "truly a beautiful thought" for the suggestion made by President Reiff in regards to the cornerstone and marker. She advises as to her wishes regarding the material used for her grave marker and requirements as to size.
