Letter from I. H. Kempner to Boyd Campbell congratulating Campbell on his appointment as President of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Kempner explains that he was unable to congratulate Campbell when the appointment happened due to him falling critically ill. Kempner also expresses his hopes that Campbell can visit Galveston sometime so that they can meet.
