In the letter, Mitchell congratulates Fulks on his 1972 production of "Fiddler on the Roof," and encourages him to send photographs to the theatre magazine "Playbill."

Letter from Becky Palmer (signed as Yente, the matchmaker), an Abilene Christian College student who performed in "Fiddler on the Roof," the 1972 ACC Homecoming musical production, to director Lewis Fulks. In the letter, Palmer thanks Fulks for allowing her to work under him, and also thanks him for being such a big influence on her.

A letter written to Zeke Smith from Norwood [T. N. Carswell], dated October 5, 1972. Carswell expresses his appreciation to Zeke on a sketch depicting burial plots where he also marks and makes note that he will reserve the spaces for himself and his wife next to his mother's grave. The reverse side includes notepad paper advertising Abilene Printing & Stationery Co., Abilene, Texas.

Letter from Peter Stewart to John Hutton discussing Hutton's sketches of a dove. Stewart says the sketches have been getting reactions and tells him which one seems to be favored. Stewart also mentions that Philip Johnson thinks the sketches fit in well with the chapel. He says the ideas that have been suggested in the letter may be helpful if he decides to do another sketch.

Stewart says he has attached pictures of the entryway of the Chapel of Thanksgiving and the Thanks-Giving Square bridge and says he will get feedback on some sketches Hutton sent him. He also asks Hutton for his contact information and availability.

Hutton mentions a discussion they had about the project and says he is looking forward to receiving feedback on rough sketches he gave Stewart.

A letter addressed to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas from Glenn L. Archer, Executive Director, Americans United for separation of church and state, dated October 3, 1972. Archer expresses his appreciation for the personal note from Carswell and concurs that they have kindred spirits. He advises that he thinks that Carswell is a "mighty young 85", notes that he appreciates the load that Carswell is carrying regarding his wife and offers to send the magazine for old times' sake. Archer expresses his concern that the job regarding separation of church and state gets bigger all the time and asks that Carswell breath a little extra of that good Texas air for him and tells of his dream to be back in Kansas "where my grandfather took a homestead, where a man lived near the sky and God was all around you". The reverse side includes printed letterhead with a listing of names and offices held in the organization of Americans United for separation of church and state.

A letter written to Norwood [T. N. Carswell] from Clifford and Zeke, dated October 7, 1972. Clifford and Zeke express their appreciation for hearing from Carswell that morning and advise that Iverson will answer Carswell's letter regarding the cemetery plots. They discuss their failing eye sight and their health, in general, wishing Carswell lived across the street for company for them since they no longer drive noting all of Zeke's family has passed away.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas from Iverson H. Huxford, Editor and Publisher, The Clinch County News, Homerville, Georgia, dated October 7, 1972. Huxford acknowledges his receipt of Carswell's letter which was written to Uncle Zeke and verifies the inquiry made by Carswell regarding the availability of the two spaces next to his mother's grave. He discusses Uncle Zeke's eyesight and advises of the help he gives to him with correspondence, checks and book work. He advises that Uncle Zeke and Dee want to convey their regards to Carswell, their old friend.
