Bodansky notes his displeasure with some of the ideas given by Mike about staying in Galveston and suggests several alternative arrangements for writing the book. Bodansky also suggests strategies for writing the book, including how to split the responsibilities associated with each chapter.

Letter from Professor John Leont'ev to Professor Meyer Bodansky. Professor Leont'ev states his regrets that Dr. Bodansky has not received a previous letter. Leont'ev has a Russian translation of Dr. Bodansky's textbook and has approached the Soviet State Editorship to receive permission for the book's publication in the Soviet Union.
