He writes that he is impressed by the suggestion, made by Carswell, that Baptist schools should include a required course of study along that line, and, if Carswell thinks it advisable, he will incorporate the suggestion into his report for the state convention.

Gertrude hoped her mother was feeling better and told her how Gertrude's sister, Ora, was doing in school as well as Gertrude's work at Baylor Female College. Among other small bits of news, she included how her father was doing and some information about the local church.

Letter from E. H. Wells to Junia Roberts Osterhout. He wrote to thank her for the letters she had been sending him. He told her of what he and his family did for Thanksgiving and mentioned how some college girls spent their holiday.

Letter from John Patterson Osterhout to his son, Paul Osterhout, discussing family news in Belton, Texas. John's wife, Junia Roberts Osterhout, and two daughters returned from visiting family in Pennsylvania. He wrote about the state of his cattle and chickens and how he was tending to them. The letter ended with John hoping that Paul would join them for Christmas. Included is an envelope addressed to "Paul Osterhout."
