A letter from Hamilton K. Redway in Washington D.C. to his wife, Loriette Redway, on December 3, 1865. The letter is regarding Hamilton Redway's business and life in Washington. Redway mentions that he will remain in the city until he gets his papers, and comments on the affairs of the army in Washington. He mentions that he has visited Munson's Hill and Upton's Hill in Arlington, and informs Loriette that the grounds about the Arlington Home have been turned into a national cemetery and that the old mansion (Custis-Lee Mansion) has been newly painted. According to Redway, there were between seven- and eight-thousand families buried in the cemetery at that time. Redway asks about his father, Chauncy Redway, as well as his daughter, Rosa Redway.

Letter from Eduardo Morga directed to Gil Florence, dated September 2, 1977. The letter indicates that the recipient has been selected as a member of the panel to hear the charges against Joe Velez and gives details of the charges and date, time, and location of the hearings.

A letter to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas from Sydney C. Reagan, Arlington, Virginia, dated May 12, 1955. Reagan expresses his appreciation for the advice and guidance given to him by Carswell while he was in Abilene. He advises Carswell that he has accepted an offer from Southern Methodist University as a professor and that he enjoyed greatly their conversations.

Letter written to Mr. Carswell from Mary Ann Hague dated May 19, 1962. Hague expresses her appreciation for the flowers inviting Carswell to visit if in Washington.
