Carswell, For the Committee, Committee on Americanism, American Legion, dated December 5, 1941. The letter discusses the promotion of a "What is Americanism?" campaign. The campaign is defined as "seeking more light in the form of a contribution", the contribution being the answer to the question, "What is Americanism?". The answer will then be used "to help stimulate an American Revival comparable in results to the periods of the Revolution, the Making of the Constitution, and the Civil War" stressing that the country's destiny depends on these answers.

Letter from George Cooke Brundrett to Valree Brundrett discussing his life during World War II in the Philippines. George was captured and held as a Prisoner of War in May 1942 after his battalion was ordered to surrender. He would die as a P.O.W. in July 1945.

Postcard sent from Eleanor Bowker, Somerset, England, to Mrs. W. L. McKie, Sacramento, California, thanking her for the message and stating the delay in her response was due to the fact the letter had to be forwarded to her in England.
