Kennedy and his wife had attended. Herrera requests that Yarborough procure two flags which had been flown over the Capitol for two of the Houston Councils to receive. Herrera promises to send a copy of the December 1963 LULAC News which was dedicated to the late President Kennedy and in which Yarborough was frequently mentioned.
