Letters between Dr. Meyer Bodansky, who is from the John Sealy Hospital in Galveston, Texas, and Dr. Ross A. Guillet, who is from the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. This first letter, which is from Dr. Guillet and dated October 2, 1939, requests the consideration of hiring him as a laboratory researcher. Dr. Guillet discloses relevant background information concerning his career experience and skills. The second letter is a response from Dr. Bodansky, and is dated October 19, 1939. The letter acknowledges the receipt of Dr. Guillet's letter, and also regretfully informs him that there are no positions or funding available for him.

Letter from Sam Myres to Judge R. C. Crane apologizing for taking so long to write him back after his kind letter asking how Myers was doing. Myres explains that he has been avoiding doing work, and paying honest obligations and so that is why he has not responded. He tells Crane about a new book out that he has enjoyed and if Crane is interested, offers to mail it to him so he can also read it. Myres says that the next time he is in Sweet Water, he hopes to meet up with Crane to catch up.
