Letter on postcard from the Board of Equalization to Henry Sayles requesting he appear before the board and demonstrate why the value of his properties listed should not be raised or reduced. A handwritten note on the letter from A. H. Balch reads, "I have gone over these items and find no charge can be made in keeping property in the same locality [,] Balch".
