The second paragraph outlines the perimeters of the land being sold, which is on the three acre lot "deeded to E. R. Boardman and S. A. Boardman by E. N. Hudgins and wife..." The statement on the second page says that the undersigned "This day personally appeared E. R. Boardman, S. A. Boardman" on their own free will.

Land deed from E. R. Boardman and his wife to five individuals: Z. T. Wall, George E. Bushong, J. E. M. Yates, Zeb, Jenkins, and J. L. Morehead. The deed gives the men ownership of land "lying in the village of Grapevine County of Tarrant, on the waters of Denton Creek." The rest of the document outlines the perimeters of the land and what it encompasses.

Land deed from E. A. Hudgins to E. R. Boardman in 1871 agreeing to sell a piece of land located in Grapevine, Texas for the sum of $300. Below this agreement is a statement acknowledging the parties involved appeared freely and in person. The official certificates state that this deed has officially been filed and registered with the county in 1874.

Documents related to the case of The State of Texas vs. Cass Honey, accused of assault and battery upon the person of W. W. Robertson, filed October 3, 1873. Documents include a letter of indictment signed by grand jury foreman A. Tannihill, a capias, a request for witnesses, and alias capiases.

Copy of a land Grant file for land issued to the Houston & Texas Central Railway Company in the Bexar Land District. Includes a folder jacket with table of contents and notes about the land grant (filed July 12, 1928); field notes by M.J. Doyle, Deputy Surveyor, Bexar Land District for Section 21 Block 20 (January 13, 1873); the affidavit of ownership of S.N. Allen (July 12, 1928); and a note by Land Commissioner J.H. Walker indicating that the file has no relation to the O. Henry story of the same name (December 4, 1933). O. Henry’s story tells the tale of a Railroad baron taking a poor homesteader’s land by stealing this file. Walker notes that although the file was missing for a period, due to office procedures the land fraud could not have occurred.

Receipt for Collin County, Texas, school taxes received from J. N. McCreary, as agent for H. Maxwell in the amount of eleven dollars and eighty-eight cents.

Bond describing a debt owed by R. T. Foster J. A. Formwatt to Henry Maxwell in the amount of $1,500 and due by September 1, 1875. Seven blue ten cent stamps and one red five cent stamp are glued to the bottom of the note.
