There is a note reading "Paid 4/15-07" on the front and "Ballinger + Abilene Ry Co. vs. A. M. E. Church & c. Filed Dec. 15, 1908 T. A. Bledsoe County Judge Taylor County, Texas" written on the back.

Promissory note to W. P. Lo[..]ry and A. Lo[..]bond in the amount of $37.90 with a ten percent interest rate until the note is paid. "Paid [..] S[..] 15/08" is written on the front. There are several notes on the back, including ""Ballinger + Abilene Ry Co. vs. A. M. E. Church & c. Filed Dec. 15, 1908 T. A. Bledsoe County Judge Taylor County, Texas" and several numbers which might indicate payments.

Certificate signed by the new Mexican Secretary and statement signed by J. H. Parramore certifying the appointment of C. V. Drew as an agent of the San Simon Cattle and Canal Company in Rode, New Mexico. The second document is paired with a resolution from the company's board of directors stating that the company president may appoint all local agents for the company.
