Statement by Richard A. Watkins concerning officer's assignments, the murder of Lee Harvey Oswald, and familiarity with Jack Ruby.

Report to Chief J. E. Curry by C. C. Wallace concerning an interview with V. C. Campbell. Wallace states that Campbell added to his original report that he had known Jack Ruby for about 5 years, did not see him in the basement of City Hall prior to the shooting, and did not know how he entered the basement. He also stated that he had not been interviewed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Statement by L. E. Jez concerning the murder of Lee Harvey Oswald. Jez states that he was assigned to work traffic at Commerce and Harwood at approximately 11:00 a. m. and did not return to the City Hall basement prior to the shooting. He states that he met Jack Ruby three years before and had last seen him a month ago at the Carousel Club, but did not see him in or near the City Hall prior to the shooting.

Report to Chief J. E. Curry by C. C. Wallace concerning an interview with D. L. Burgess. Wallace states that Burgess' interview was essentially the same as his original report, but he added that he did not know Jack Ruby and did not see him prior to the shooting.

Report to Chief J. E. Curry by C. C. Wallace concerning an interview with T. D. McMillon. Wallace states that McMillon was interviewed as to any information not included in his original report. McMillon added to his report that Detective Leavelle was on Lee Harvey Oswald's right as he was escorted through the basement. McMillon also stated that Jack Ruby came from his left side, and that he did know Ruby by sight. He also described overhearing statements that Ruby made after the shooting.

Report to Chief J. E. Curry by C. C. Wallace concerning an interview with C. A. Greeson. Wallace states that Greeson's interview was essentially the same as his original report, but he added that he believes he saw Jack Ruby once before in 1957 but did not know him or know how he entered City Hall. Greeson stated that he had been interviewed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Handwritten report to Chief J. E. Curry by F. I. Cornwall concerning an interview with Reserve Officer Lieutenant Barnie Merrell. Cornwall states that Merrell was interviewed as to any additional information about the shooting of Lee Harvey Oswald that he had not included in his original report. Merrell stated that he did not have anything of significance to add.

Criminal Intelligence Report by D. N. Boyd to Captain W. P. Gannaway, regarding Anthony G. Rizzo and Jack Ruby. Boyd states that Rizzo stated he had been a friend of Ruby's for a number of years.

Report to Chief J. E. Curry by F. I. Cornwall concerning an interview with Reserve Officer Lieutenant Harry M. Kriss. Cornwall states that Kriss was interviewed as to any information about the shooting of Lee Harvey Oswald which was not covered in his original report. Kriss stated that there was nothing of significance which he could add, and that he had not been contacted by any federal agency at that time.

Statement by Police Clerk Johnnie F. Newton concerning his assignment and the murder of Lee Harvey Oswald. Newman states that he did not see the shooting because his view was blocked by several officers.

Report to Chief J. E. Curry by James P. Hargis, concerning his acquaintance with Jack Ruby. Hargis stated that he had known Ruby for eight years, but has never associated with him socially or shared an apartment with him. He was not at the City Hall November 23 or 24, 1963.

Report to Chief J. E. Curry by F. I. Cornwall concerning an interview with Reserve Officer Sergeant Jimmy R. Hopkins. Cornwall states that Hopkins was interviewed as to any information he may have concerning the shooting of Lee Harvey Oswald that was not covered in his original report. Hopkins states that he had nothing of significance to add and that he had not been contacted by any federal agency at that time.

Report to Chief J. E. Curry by George Butler regarding his assignments and the murder of Lee Harvey Oswald. Butler states that he was asked to report to the City Hall basement on the morning of November 24, 1963. He states that he searched an armored car that was partially backed up onto the basement ramp and found nothing. Then an unmarked police car parked near the jail door entrance and the surrounding crowd began to get excited because Oswald was in sight. Butler states that after the police car drove up he heard a gunshot.
