The Western Area Newsletter is a quarterly publication of local chapters of The Links, Inc., located in the western United States. It contains letters from the area director as well as chapter reports, financial statements, rosters, member updates, officer information, conference announcements, and other news related to the organization's service and personal development activities. In this particular issue, pages from the newsletter are printed on the front side of each page. The last page of the newsletter is an excerpt of a San Francisco magazine announcing the retirement of a Links member. The back side of each page of the newsletter was used to record the minutes of an unrelated Links meeting.
