This study is an attempt to re-investigate the Republican party during the Reconstruction era in order to understand the degree and nature of the changes. The paper reviews the basis of the party at different points in its metamorphosis to demonstrate what happened to the organization.

They bring to school a well-established set of habits which they will continue to use in spite of the classroom instruction, because they hold on to the teaching of their first teachers--their mothers.

The purpose of this study is to examine the validity of two of the major claims involved in the controversy that (1) "Right-to-Work" laws promote industrial peace, and (2) "Right-to-Work" laws hinder union growth.
