Memorandum presenting a study of the stability of laminar boundary layer profiles on slightly curved walls relative to small disturbances, in the shape of vortices, whose axes are parallel to the principal direction of flow. The result in an eigenvalue problem by which, for a given undisturbed flow at a prescribed wall, the amplification or decay is computed for each Reynolds number and each vortex thickness.

This is a study to ascertain the qualifications, the general status, and in-school and out-of-school activities of the industrial arts teachers employed in the secondary schools in Arkansas in order to compare them with the qualifications and general status of the industrial arts teachers employed in the State of Texas in 1953, as reported by Jack P. The investigator had the following purposes in undertaking the present study: 1. To determine the accuracy of the Brace Basketball Achievement Test in measuring a girl's real playing ability. 2. To determine to what extent the Brace Basketball Achievement Test can be relied upon to rank the players of a girls Interscholastic League basketball squad. 3. To determine to what extent the Brace Basketball Achievement Test can be relied upon to rank girls basketball squads in an Interscholastic League district. 4. To determine the degree to which the Brace Basketball Test can be relied upon as an aid for the selection of players for a high school girls basketball squad.

This study will endeavor to present an analysis of the process in which the National Labor Relations Board gave specific meaning to "interfere with, restrain or coerce" found in section 8(1) of the National Labor Relations Act of 1935. Under Section 8(1) of the Act, the Labor Board, subject to judicial review, has the authority to declare illegal any management procedure which in its opinion involves interference, restraint or coercion.

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the Q-scores and the L-scores made on the American Council on Education Psychological Examination and the scores made on Aptitudes "N" and "V" of the General Aptitude Test Battery by the same students, and to compare the academic grades of these same students with the aforementioned test scores in order to determine what relationship exists, if any, between academic grades made in certain selected courses and scores made on each of the aforementioned tests.

The primary purpose of this study is to demonstrate the importance of Howells as the leader of the movement toward realism in American drama, both by revealing in a critical analysis of his plays the presence of the same familiar realistic elements so evident in his novels, and also by showing the extent of his influence upon later dramatists.
