Lane states that all gifts and grants are important and that the bigger grants came to UNT because they college has one of the best art education programs in the nation. A second article at the bottom of the newsletter states, "Wal-Mart supports UNT technology program," the largest retail store has gifted the University $20,000.

Pilot Point ISD was chosen by the Getty Foundation as a pilot school for a program on visual arts, the program focusing on the history, cultural, aesthetic and production of art.
