In a team effort from those involved at the UNT they managed to raise $565,000 in gifts and private grants all for the art education program at the school of visual arts. Lane states that all gifts and grants are important and that the bigger grants came to UNT because they college has one of the best art education programs in the nation. A second article at the bottom of the newsletter states, "Wal-Mart supports UNT technology program," the largest retail store has gifted the University $20,000.
