The goal to improve the housing shortage in Hamilton Park was a three-year-long project by the president of the Dallas Citizens' Interracial Association, Jerome Crossman; he also aims to construct more facilities in the 173-acre tract as well. Out of the fifty fully-constructed homes, most have already been sold by the new residents.
