Photocopy of a transcript of an interview with James Short, an alumnus of Eanes Elementary School from Westlake Hills. He goes on to talk about what life was like as a student at Eanes School, and recalls the various incidents that occurred such as bees being let loose in the school bus, a bonfire being built in the middle of the road to stop the bus from arriving to school, and fights between the students.

Photocopy of a transcript of an interview with Gertrude Johnson, a long time resident of Deep Eddy, Texas. She talks about her work with the church and school in the area and how at one point the garden that she grew produced a 17.5 pound sweet potato. She also mentions her time as a teacher in the Eanes area and the frequency of which entire classes would not show up to school. At the bottom of the page there is a typed recipe for "Mrs. Johnson's unbaked cookies" as well as handwritten text that seems to be listing out the names of other families who lives in the area.

Photocopy of a handwritten letter from Mary Johnson to Dorothy Depwe, included is also a survey that was filled out by Mary Johnson asking her about what life was like at the Eanes School as well as her role as a teacher at the time. The letter from Johnson talks about a picture that was found by Johnson that she feels Depwe could be interested in as well a robbery that occurred in which Johnson's watch and fountain pen fillers were stolen.
