Transcript of the military story of Abilene, presented in three parts. The first part of the story was presented by Jerri Alexander, who talked about Fort Phantom Hill, the 1850s army fort now owned by the Alexander family. Mike Myers, a graduate student in history at Hardin-Simmons University spoke about the World War II installation known as Camp Barkeley. Lt. Pam Fenner introduced and spoke of the history of Dyess Air Force Base, the SAC installation and home of the C-130s and B-1 bombers located in Abilene after the close of Camp Barkeley.
