The reverse side includes correspondence to Mr. Carswell from Mrs. J. O. Curry. Curry advises Carswell that Jay is still on the same well but is about to finish and that they do not know if they will drill another.

Invitation for the Western Texas College dedication including the schedule of events (registration, dedication ceremony, dedication luncheon, and tours of the campus and facilities). Text on the front of the invitation says: "The Board of Trustees of Western Texas College request the honor of your presence at the dedication of Western Texas College on Friday, the twenty-eighth of April nineteen hundred and seventy-two at ten-thirty o'clock in the morning, Snyder, Texas." It also has an enclosed reply card.

Certificate awarded to Western Texas College by Tarleton State College. It has a decorative gold border and the TSC seal above the text, which reads: "The Administration, The Faculty, and the Students of Tarleton State College extends congratulations and best wishes to the Board, Administration, Faculty and Students of Western Texas College on the occasion of the Dedication of Western Texas College on the twenty-eighth day of April 1972." It is signed by the TSC president, W. O. Trogdon.
