He talks about his family's history, including a feud between his relatives, the Hendersons, and the Hopes. He recounts the development of his music career as a left-handed fiddler.

Interview with Clarabelle Barton Snodgrass, vice-chair of the Kerr County Historical Commission from Kerrville, Texas. Mrs. Snodgrass talks about growing up on a primitive ranch, struggling to survive during the Depression, meeting and marrying her husband, their family, their involvement with music, and her efforts to preserve the history of Kerr County. She also briefly discusses the honors and awards her volunteer work has earned her. Pages 2-13 include a written statement by Miles Abernathy Lowrence, Clarabelle's maternal great-uncle.

Interview with Joe Marcus "J.M." Auld, Jr., a Texan rancher from Kerrville, Texas. Mr. Auld identifies his family members (including Kerr County pioneers who immigrated from Scotland), describes the difficulties of ranch life, and mentions local cultural phenomena. The interview includes stories of "Indians," eradicating the screwworm fly from Kerr County, and life during the Great Depression. He also discusses the role of game hunting to today's ranchers.

Interview with Robert Edward Sieker, a pilot from Kerrville, Texas. Mr. Sieker discusses his grandfather's immigration from Germany. In addition to his stories from his extensive flying career, he also talks about his service in the military during World War II, his various occupations throughout the years, and his work against the screwworm infestation.

Interview with Ross Snodgrass, ranche rfrom Kerrville, Texas. Mr. Snodgrass discusses his family's move to the area in the mid-1800s, as well as their ranching history. He talks about his own experience as a rancher, raising and training animals, surviving droughts (and anthrax), roping, and more. Mr. Snodgrass also tells stories about the "Whippoorwill" band he and his wife, Clarabelle Snodgrass, started after marrying in 1933. The transcript includes a few comments by his wife.
