Bookmark with a thread tassel. The bookmark contains a drawing of a dog and the inscription, "I'm good for a trick or two." We assume that the bookmark served double-duty as a placeholder for a table at a social function as it is labeled, "Table No.2, Couple No.2" with the numbers handwritten in. The bookmark belonged Mrs. J. E. Hightower, formerly Bessie Elizabeth Bruce, and was found in her 1910 Denton High School Bronco yearbook.

Hamilton's Drug Store grand opening was on a Tuesday morning, June 15, 1941. It was located on the corner of Fry and Hickory Street. The owners were W. P. Hamilton and E. C. Perryman. The business had a pharmacy, a complete soda fountain, a cosmetics area, and an assortment of sporting goods, picnic supplies, cigarettes, tobacco, candy, gum, stationary, cards, magazines, first aid supplies, baby foods and accessories.
