Raincoat

(At left) Raincoat of black vinyl. The modified A-line coat is of short length, extending to just at or below the knee, and has long sleeves. Center-front opening is secured with 3 silver/chrome clip closures, one at the rounded neckline and two at waist. There is one patch pocket at the right hip. The coat is fully lined in synthetic with vertical stripes of pink, green, blue, violet, and red on a black ground. Size 10. Manufacturer's label inside at center back just below neckline: "La Flaque / de Paris". At right inside side-seam is a Union Label.

A) "Rakkauskirje" dress of red, fuschia, and black cotton "Tarha" print of thick, red swirls with relief areas of black polka dots on fuschia background; scoop neckline is gathered into a 1/4" piping; button down front with silver buttons; three-quarter length, wide, raglan sleeves gathered into 1/4" cuff; full-length, A-line with a 16 1/2" gathered skirt at hem; unlined. Skirt suit

Two-piece suit of brown, yellow, olive green and off-white plaid wool twill. a) Semi-fitted jacket of plaid wool. Notched collar and lapel. Bracelet length, two piece, set in sleeves. Double breasted front opening with six round, plastic, olive buttons and three bound buttonholes. One button closure hidden inside lap. Pair of faux pocket flaps on front below waist. Back has a low-slung, self-fabric belt buttoned on at princess seams. Fully lined in ecru silk. Handwritten maker's label at bottom left hem: "Sra : De / Osborne / 964" Handwritten maker's label above previous label: "7" b) Matching knee length, princess paneled skirt with rolled waistband of lining fabric. In-seam pockets at front princess seams. Deep box pleat at center front releases at hip level. Offset left side back zipper closure supplemented by two hook and eye closures at waistband. Folded hem. Fully lined in ecru silk with white silk faille waist support lightly boned with two hook and eye closures.

Suit

Day ensemble consisting of a white linen top and matching white linen skirt. a) Semi-fitted white linen top. Shallow V-neckline with standard notched collar and short lapels. Short sleeves cut in one with jacket body supplemented by two triangular shaped gussets under the arm. Lapped center front opening with single round plastic white button and in-seam (yoke seam) buttonhole supplemented by single snap closure. Front has a bias yoke which cuts across bustline. Lower front piece is also bias. Back has darts which form release tucks at waistline. Sides are vented at hem. Fully lined in white silk. b) Matching knee-length, semi-tailored skirt with folded white cotton bias for a waistband. Left side zipper closure supplemented by single hook&eye closure on waistband. Folded hem. Fully lined in white silk.
