Two piece ensemble of ivory bouclé mohair. a) Day dress. Sleeveless bodice of ivory silk. High waist and straight skirt of ivory bouclé. Center back zipper with hook & eye. Skirt lined in silk matching bodice. Designer's label at inside right side seam " Autumne - Hiver 1963 / Christian Dior / Paris" Style number stamped on label: "20980" b) Jacket/over blouse; box style. Front placket with 6 mother-of-pearl 1" non-functioning buttons and bound buttonholes gives a double breasted appearance. Rolled collar which wraps around neckline is fastened with a matching button and loop and 12 covered snaps. Long, set-in sleeves. Center back zipper with hook & eye. Lined in sheer, ivory organza.

Skirt suit of cream and olive green loose weave wool twill bordered in olive green suede. A) Jacket with empire waist and bracelet length sleeves; covered hook and D-ring closure. Inseam pocket. Gathered at back. Half lined in olive silk. Designer's label at right side seam: "A / Bonnie Cashin / Design / Sills and Co." B) Pencil skirt with left side zipper closure. Partially lined at back in olive green silk crepe.

Hatlet of brown velvet. The open-crown hat is formed of a hollow square with down-turned sides and corners, covered in brown velvet and edged in tiny pearls. "Flying" around the hat are 8 golden stamped metal hummingbirds. One wing of each bird is hinged, allowing movement of the birds as the wearer moves their head. Over all is a brown net veil "capturing" the hummingbirds, with scattered gathers of 4 pearls. The underside is edged in brown grosgrain ribbon, and has two small plastic combs attached to secure hatlet to wearer's head. Sewn onto the inner ribbon is maker's label: "Bes-Ben / Made in Chicago". Also sewn onto inner ribbon is hand-written label "917". Measurements: 14 x 15 cm. without net; 10 cm. from base of brim to highest tip of bird wing.

Dress of black bouclé wool. Empire waistline. Short, puffed sleeves with black satin piping at hem; gathers reinforced at shoulders with stiff black fabric. Wide, scooped neckline with black satin piping. Knee length. Black satin belt is 1" wide, attached at sides and ties in back. Center back zipper with hook & eye. Side slit pockets. Lined in black chiffon in bodice and black silk below empire waistline with black grosgrain ribbon petersham closed with hook & eye. Combined designer/retailer label at bottom right seam of lining: "Norman Norell for Neiman-Marcus"

Button that includes the text “Kenndey”, and the number 64. Small stars with a red outline surround the blue circle with the word "Kennedy" on the top and bottom of the button.

Coat of short fuzzy pink wool with three-quarter sleeves cut so sable cuffs of dress will show. Six 1-inch black buttons. Lined in pink silk. Designer's Label: "Balenciaga / 10, Avenue George V. Paris"

Coat of red wool. Midi length with 2" band standing collar. Long kimono style sleeves with 2 tucks at shoulder. Applied V-shaped piece from center front to hem. Single breasted with 4 black and gold, 1" buttons and tailored buttonholes. Side slit pockets. Seam down center back to hem. Lined in black wool; shoulder pads. Designer's label at center back: "Galanos"

Cocktail coat of American Beauty-red silk brocade with three-quarter sleeves. Collarless round neckline with open front. Below knee-length. Lined in red silk. Designer's label: "Balenciaga / 10, Avenue George V. Paris"

Cocktail dress of ivory four-ply silk and brown wool crepe. Torso and long sleeves are of ivory silk, and the 5" cuffs and 15" skirt panel are of brown wool crepe. Silk tie at neckline hangs down front and back. Center back opening with 5 self-covered buttons and bound buttonholes supplemented with snaps at neckline. Top portion lined in ivory silk, bottom portion lined in brown silk. Designer's label in skirt: "Norman Norell / New York". Retailer's(?) label sewn into lining, partly obscured: "Saks Fifth Avenue / Helas / Greenhill / 4-19-66 5322". Union label in skirt near designer's label. This garment shows evidence at hemline of having been shortened.

Cocktail dress in a pink, blue and green chiffon print with gold thread embroidery in paisley pattern. Cocktail length with gathered skirt. V-shaped neckline trimmed in ruffle of self. Long, set-in sleeves with ruffled cuffs of self. Set-in 2" waistline has snap indicating dress possibly had a belt or attached bow at one time. Center back zipper with hook & eye. Outer dress is backed in green organdy and body of dress is lined in green silk. Designer's label at center back seam of lining: "Mollie Parnis / New York" Union label "340192" under seam beside designer's label.

A) Culotte jumper of black and white acrylic knit patterned with squares of houndstooth and check patterns. Scoop neckline; sleeveless; fitted bodice. Full, street-length skirt gathered into waist with pockets in side seam near the hip. Zipper at center back with black tassel pull. Skirt is divided near the hem; lined in lightweight black synthetic organza material. Designer label: An Original / Lotus B) Waist jacket of matching fabric. Notched collar; two large black plastic buttons at center front; bound buttonholes. Long sleeves. Fitted; lined in black synthetic crepe material.

Two large patch pockets; right pocket has interior zippered pocket with an additional pocket in lining. Skirt gathers into natural waist. Zipper at center back with white tassel pull. Unlined. With tie belt of matching fabric, 1" wide.

Shift day dress of oatmeal crochet knit wool. The mid-length dress is of a seed-stitch knit with Peter Pan collar and short sleeves. The collar, upper lapel edge and sleeves are finished with a single stitch crochet binding/edging. Double-breasted with ten self-covered circular buttons arranged in two vertical rows of five each. Dress opens along left vertical row with a single snap and a single small hidden button and loop to secure upper left of panel under collar. Unlined. Black band inside lower hem. Designer's label inside at back near collar: "Norman Norell / New York". Union label inside at hem, partly hidden by hem: 625687.
