Young girl's party dress of yellow heavy crepe paper over white cotton(?). “Paper dress” is knee-length, sleeveless, with rounded neckline and wide straps. A-line under-layer of white cotton is overlaid by 7 wide horizontal tiers of yellow heavy crepe paper “petals”. Center-back opening with single tiny circular white button at neckline. Crochet purse

Drawstring purse of silver thread crochet with circle and flower tatted lace appliqués. Near top of purse on front and back are sewn-on single metal rings and evidence of second lost ring where the top border may have been folded down and attached to the purse to form drawstring insert. Shoes

Pair of lady's boots or "High Button Shoes" of brown leather. The shoes, designed with pointed toes, have decorative band across toe cap with row of tiny holes along line of band. The boots close along center front with laces (laces lacking), 18 holes high. Medium/high stacked heels styled as a modified boulevard or Louis heel, with rounded sides and back, tapering slightly to base, and with curved front section. Sole of brown leather. Lined in off-white/tan canvas. Stamped on lining: "37 / 1 / 7395"

Hat

Woman's black velour top hat. Designed after a man's top hat, this version has a cylindrical, slightly domed crown and narrow velour-covered brim which gently curves up. The brim has a second section below, also covered in black velour, that curves downwards, giving the brim an appearance of thickness. Around the lower part of the crown is a folded black silk taffeta grosgrain ribbon, with a large simulated silver metal buckle placed near the front on the right side of the hat. The buckle is of stamped metal simulating cut steel. The hat is lined in black silk. Embroidered label sewn to lining inside crown includes an oval frame containing a monogram, possibly RSCM, and "Gold Medal / Pattern"

Midi blouse of white cotton duck. sailor-style. hip-length, with placketed slashed neckline. square sailor collar and full-length set-in sleeves. The neckline placket is applied to the outside of the blouse giving a yoke-like effect. The wide sailor collar is accented with three rows of white cotton twill ribbon. The sleeves gather slightly into wide placketed cuffs. The cuffs are accented with three rows of white cotton twill ribbon. The cuffs are secured with two tailored buttonholes and two mother-of-pearl buttons. Left breast slash pocket. Turned hem. No label.
