Evening dress

Evening/dinner dress of pink chiffon with butterfly appliqués. Full-length princess-line sheath with a wide scooped neckline. Set-in 1/2-length sleeves. Beginning from knee-level down, the front princess seams curve outward mirroring the shaping over the bust. The back princess seams curve inward at knee-level. The area between the two parallel princess seams running the length of each side of the dress becomes a separate panel, curving outward from knee-level to the hem. The lower portion of the dress, from knee-level to the hem, is accented with draped and swaged panels similar to asymmetrical Viennese drapes. The swags are embellished with appliquéd three-dimensional butterflies with printed silk wings. The bodies of the butterflies are worked in clear beads and multi-colored sequins. Breton Hat

Breton hat of blue fur felt. The domed crown is encircled by a wide band of blue grosgrain ribbon with large bow at back. The wide brim curves up and out around the crown, and is lined in the same fur. The crown is unlined, with a blue grosgrain ribbon inner hatband. Body manufacturer's stamp inside crown: "Imported Body / Milady / Made in the United Kingdom" Retailer's label inside: "Neiman-Marcus"

Velvet hat

Toque style hat of moss green velvet. Draped green velvet crown worked over a stiffened buckram frame. The top of the crown is embellished with an appliquéd filigree of bullion work, gold-tone braid and green and yellow rhinestones. Rolled wired brim of woven yellow, cream and purple silk ribbons accented with black chenille ribbon. The brim is diagonally draped with matching green velvet and moss green silk taffeta ribbon centered with pink, black and yellow stripes. The right front temple of the brim is accented with a cluster of purple and lavender artificial violets. There are two spherical black enameled head hatpins with long tines. Moss green polished cotton lining with drawstring adjustment. Black buckram crown frame. No labels.

Hat of navy blue wool jersey and feathers. The hat, styled as a calotte (also spelled "calot") consists of a soft navy blue wool jersey cap which fits tightly to head. On left side are gathers/ruching. On right side is larger circular rosette of navy blue feathers which extends down below lower edge of crown. Unlined. Hat

Raised beret-style hat of creme felt. Stiffened body of hat has a sienna/orange-brown grosgrain ribbon bow at top of crown, with tails of bow extending to sides, along front to edge, and trailing off of the back of the hat. The hat is surmounted by a light-brown plume of ostrich feathers. Inside of brim lined with black grosgrain ribbon. There is a thin black elastic strap to go around the back of the head to secure the hat. Label sewn to inside band: "Walter Florell / 29 East 53rd New York".

Hat of gathered white net with small white flowers. Appearing somewhat as a turban, the hat has a conical crown of stiff netting which is completely surrounded by masses of gathered tulle net forming a dense "cloud" into which are placed tiny artificial white fabric daisies on small stems. Maternity dress

Maternity jumper of blue and green cotton chambray. "Apron-like", "Overalls-inspired" below-knee-length blue chambray dress, very A-line, sleeveless, square neckline, and straps that look like those of overalls, but without fittings. At front of dress are two large almost square patch pockets of green chambray with diagonal spaced pin-tucks. A similar square panel is inset at center front of dress from neckline down.
