A frontal view of the home of Col. Hugh B. Moore and Helen Edmunds Moore in Texas City. The home is a two-story brick home. Four large sets of windows open onto a second-story porch. Five large brick pillars and a large front porch are visible on the ground level. A trimmed hedge with a gate fronts the house. Large flowering trees are visible in the side yard at the right, and a large palm tree and another smaller tree and some bushes are visible in the front yard.

Methodist Church, Marshall, Texas

Black and white postcard of the First United Methodist Church, located at 300 East Houston St., in Marshall, Texas, photographed in the early 1920s. The building was constructed in 1861. It is a front-gable brick-masonry structure in a Greek revival style with a bell tower and steeple on the peak of the front gable. Three sets of steps ascend to the entrance porch, which has four tapered square brick columns surmounted by a pediment. The view shows the facade and the right side of the building with its raised basement windows visible. At the top of the image, printed in red is the title, "Methodist Church, Marshall, Texas." Printed on the right side of the i mage in red: "Fry Hodge Drug Co., Marshall, Texas." There is a postmark dated May 14, 1923 on the back. The card was addressed to Miss Sallie Woodrome, Yoakum, Texas.

Color tinted halftone postcard from around 1924 showing the new high school, Marshall, Texas. The building was constructed in 1924. The view shows the facade and left side of the building. It is a brick and concrete building of two-stories on raised basement, with an elaborate entrance in an English Gothic Academic style. A series of steps leads up the terraced lawn to the main entrance. Printed on the top of the image in black is the title, "New High School, Marshall, Texas." The code number 97359-N is printed below the image in the lower right corner. Printed on the back of the card on the left edge of the message section: "Distributed by Eastex Photo Supply, Marshall, Texas." Printed between the message and address sections: "Genuine Curteich-Chicago 'C.T. American Art' post card (Reg. U. S. Pat. Off.)" There is no postmark or message on the back of the card.

Marshall Hotel, Marshall, Texas, 2751-29-N

Color halftone postcard of the Marshall Hotel, Marshall, Texas, which was built in 1929. The view shows the facade and east side of the eight story building and parts of the smaller buildings on either side of it. There is a sidewalk canopy across the facade with 2nd floor balcony on top of it, smaller three-bay balconies at the third and seventh floors and what appears to be a terrace surrounding the eighth floor. There are people standing on the sidewalk in front of the building and one automobile parked on the street. Printed in black ink above the image: "Marshall Hotel, Marshall, Texas." Printed in the lower right corner below the image: "2751-29-N" There is no postmark on the back of the card, but there is a handwritten message: "Our room is on the third floor.
