Postcard of William Henry Gordon of Porter, Oklahoma and Fred Smith wearing striped shirts, dark vests, and hats. A handwritten note on the back of the postcard says "Compliment of William Gordon to Ida Leroy." This collection of photographs of African Americans was purchased from an estate in Dallas, Texas.

Postcard of dead ducks hanging from a wooden pole in front of the window of "Chris's Cafe." A sign above the ducks says, "These ducks killed with Peter's High Velocity Shells (The Shell With A Wallop). Peter's Shells for Sale by the W. A. Holt Co. Inc., 407 Franklin St."

Postcard of cars and people on Austin Street in Waco, Texas, with buildings lining the sides of the street. A handwritten note on the front of the card says "You must come visit us sometime, then you could see our nice little city." Another handwritten note on the back of the postcard is addressed to Miss Myrtle Birk in Voca, Texas and says "Read your letter, and was again glad to hear from you. It was Cha's finger that was mashed under a big granite rock. Dr. took off one joint of it so he is minus part of a finger, but we have not told Mother and Father Houston about having it amputated. Mildred has been sick for a week, cold and rising in her head. Love, Addie."

Postcard addressed to Katharine Bahl, "Mrs. J. P. Bahl", of Waco, Texas, from Harry Bahl in San Antonio. Harry states he is having a "good time" and anticipates he will be home soon. The front of the post card depicts a large pagoda at the Japanese Tea Garden in San Antonio. At left, people walk past footpaths lined with ferns onto stairs that lead to the leftmost wing of the pagoda. Along the bottom of the picture is a lower section of the park, below the pagoda, which contains more pathways, stone walls holding garden planters, and an arched stone bridge over a calm pond lined with bushes and flowers.

Postcard of Austin Avenue Methodist Church on the corner of 12th Street and Austin Avenue in Waco, Texas. The church was built in 1901-1902 and was designed by William A. Cann of St. Louis. The edifice was later sold to the congregation of Trinity Presbyterian Church of Waco.
