Postcard from L. A. to Mr. Will L. Henkle, thanking him for sending something, and discussing Texas's pretty landscape. The front of the postcard features a photograph of Holy Angels Academy in Boerne, Texas, a two-story building with wrap-around porches on both stories. There is a small tower extending from the center of the roof of the building, with a cross-shaped spire at the top. There are a few short steps leading up to the first-story porch and the front door to the academy. There are several trees surrounding the building, obscuring much of the second-story.

I had an egg & 1/2 for dinner in a salad. Everything is swell. So long. Bro. Woodrow."

Postcard from Rose Chamberlin to Junia Roberts Osterhout. The front has three photos stacked vertically. The one on top has buildings in the plains and is a general view of Fort Concho. The second one is the officers' quarters and has a row of stone houses with a road out in front. All the houses have slanted roofs and chimneys. At the start of the road is a fence with an open gate. The bottom one is the soldiers' quarters and has a row of roofs held up by wooden columns, attached to a stone building. On the back, Rose wrote about what she'd been up to and pieces of local news.

T. and P. Hospital, Marshall, Texas

Color tinted halftone postcard of the Texas & Pacific Railway Hospital, in Marshall, Texas. The image was probably taken not long after the building was opened in 1928, but this card was probably printed in the 1930s, based on the linen style paper. It was sent through the mails and postmarked on April 24, 1940. The view shows a drive in the foreground curving in front of the building. The building is a long horizontal two-story structure with a slightly projecting entrance section. Three automobiles are parked on the drive. Printed in the white border above the image is the title, "T. & P. Hospital, Marshall, Texas," and printed below the image is the code "2461-29." Printed between the message and address sections: "C. T. American Art, Reg. U. S. Pat. Off. Made only by Curt Teich Co., Inc., Chicago." The card is addressed to Mrs. Violet Swain in Austin, Texas.
