Rushing through channels of solid rock to boil amid boulders, terrific in their jagged roughness, the Potomac plunges in rapids, cascades and spray to the awe-inspiring gorge below, whose Titanic walls of granite picture Nature's mightiest mood."

Information on the back reads, "The Chapel at Hampton Institute. The Memorial Chapel dedicated in May 1886 was a gift of the Frederick L. Marquand Estate.
