Color halftone postcard on textured linen paper showing the swimming pool in the city park of Marshall, Texas. The actual pool, which opened in June of 1938, is not visible, but the view shows the terraced lawn around it, two buildings that probably were the filter house and the changing rooms, and part of a chain-link fence. Up another terraced slope to the pool's left is a log building that was constructed in 1939 as the NYA Community Center. Walls, stair rails, and a light post made of rocks are shown, as well as plantings of flowers in front of the wall. Much of the landscaping and the rock walls and steps were constructed with WPA funds. Printed in the border below the image is the title, "Swimming Pool, City Park, Marshall, Texas. 2B481-N" Printed on the back between the message and address sections is: "Genuine Curteich Chicago, 'C.T. American Art" Postcard (Reg. U. S. Pat. Off.)" The postmark on the back of the card is dated Apr 27, 1946. The typed message is from Eleanor Greene and addressed to Mrs. Alice Holden, Dallas, Texas.

Memorial City Hall, Marshall, Texas

Color halftone postcard on textured linen paper showing the city hall building, Marshall, Texas, 110 E. Houston St. The view shows the façade and east side of the building, which is on a slope. It has three stories and a basement. This building replaced an earlier city hall that burned. Automobiles are parked beside and in front of the building. Printed across the top of the image is the title: "Memorial City Hall, Marshall, Texas" and printed on the lower right is the number 15,753. Printed on the left side of the back is "Published by Marshall Peanut Candy Co., Marshall, Texas" and printed between the message and address sections is: "A 'Colourpicture' Publication, Cambridge, Mass. U. S. A." Handwritten in ink in the message space is the date April 23, 1946. There is no message or postmark on the card.

Commercial buildings line both sides of the street and automobiles are parked in front of them. A sign for a drug store is visible on the right side. Printed on the back between the message and address sections is: "Pub. by Gene Holder, Marshall, Texas," and on a line below that: "Natural Color Post Card Made in U.S.A. by E. C. Kropp Co., Milwaukee, Wis. (ADL)." There is no message or postmark on the card.
